An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Fog Bound, the 1923 Irvin Willat silent romantic melodrama ("By Jack Bechdolt"; about a New York playboy visiting his Florida estate, and he gets mixed up with the daughter of a federal agent at a gambling casino, but when a man is killed, he becomes the lead suspect, and the daughter doesn't know what to think) starring Dorothy Dalton, David Powell, Martha Mansfield, Maurice Costello, Jack Richardson, and Ella Miller (as Mammy). Note that David Powell was a Scottish leading man in silent movies with a promising future (he made 52 movies between 1914 and 1925, including as Boston Blackie). But his career ended in 1925 when he caught "bronchopneumonia" and quickly passed away, and now he is solely remembered by major film buffs. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good.
