His dream was to eventually host The Tonight Show (because his idol was Johnny Carson), and he was prepared to do anything to get it, but alas, it will never happen! He did however host "The Late Show" for 23 years, retiring from the job in 2015. As of 2021, Letterman is still alive at the age of 72! Important Added Info: Note that these stills were printed on Kodak paper, but we believe them to surely be original stills. Sometimes, studios would run out of stills and have extras printed on Kodak stock. Condition: very good. It appears that a small amount has been trimmed from bottom still pictured.
