An Undated (probably 1930s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Three Musketeers, the 1933 Colbert Clark & Armand Schaefer Foreign Legion military action adventure serial ("A Modern Version"; "A Smashing Serial In 12 Thrilling Chapters"; loosely based on the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas) starring John Wayne, Ruth Hall, Jack Mulhall, Raymond Hatton, Ralph Bushman (billed as "Francis X. Bushman Jr."), Noah Beery Jr., Lon Chaney Jr. (billed under his given name of "Creighton Chaney"), and Robert Warwick. Note that this is a then-modern day version of the Dumas classic, with Mulhall, Hatton, and Bushman as the modern day Three Musketeers and John Wayne as the modern day D'Artagnan. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that examples of this poster have been mistakenly sold as original 1933 releases. Mascot Pictures owner Nat Levine re-released most of his early 1930s serials in the late 1930s, and he used the same plates, which is the cause of the confusion. But the re-releases are two-color, while the originals (which are extremely scarce and are virtually never offered for sale) are full-color. Condition: good. There are stains, creases, tattering and areas of paper loss mostly along the edges and foldlines of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
