What's Love Got To Do With It (released in other English-speaking countries as "Tina: What's Love Got to Do with It?"), the 1993 Brian Gibson romantic rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) pop musical biographical melodrama ("Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?"; "The true life story of Tina Turner"; "Based upon 'I, Tina' by Tina Turner and Kurt Loder"; about singer Tina Turner and her violent relationship with her husband Ike) starring Angela Bassett (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Tina Turner), Laurence Fishburne (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Ike Turner), Jennifer Lewis, Khandi Alexander, and Rob LaBelle. Note that the singing was provided by the real Tina Turner.
