'The Prince and the Showgirl'"; "Some countries have a medal for Everything"; "A Film by Marilyn Monroe Pictures Inc."; "Screen Play by Terence Rattigan"; about a showgirl in a mythical European country, who causes scandal when a prince tries to seduce her) starring Marilyn Monroe (in the title role as Elsie), Laurence Olivier (in the title role as the Prince Regent), Sybil Thorndike, Richard Wattis, David Horne, Jeremy Spenser, Jean Kent, Vera Day, and Margot Lister NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: In addition to the defects listed below, there is faint ink smudging in the white border areas. This is a printing defect that I have seen on many cards from this movie (it seems to be something specific to this movie, so it may relate to the type of paper that the cards were printed on). Condition: fair to good. Card #7 has several smudges around the edges, as well as a few pinholes and small tears. There is faint, spotty discoloration in areas in and around Olivier's jacket. Card #3 has several deep scuffs and scratches scattered throughout the image. The upper 1" and lower 3 1/2" of the card was folded back at one time and there is a censor stamp at lower right. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
