This comic was one of the many imitators of the hugely successful Crime Does Not Pay comics, which had a circulation of more than two million monthly by 1947. Unlike the crime comics that inspired it, Justice Traps the Guilty did not die with the Comic Code, but continued until 1958. A mob offers loans to cabbies, and takes their cabs when they can't pay. An insurance beneficiary decides to hasten the payoff with homicide.
