An Original Vintage German Cigarette Card Album (measures 9 1/4" x 11 1/4" [23 x 29 cm]; containing 252 cards on 48 pages) (Learn More)

Die Tanzbuhnen der Welt (literally translates to "The Dance Stages In the World"), the 1930s German cigarette card album featuring 48 pages of 252 tipped-in cigarette premium cards of popular dancers (from all over the world, divided by the country they are from) including: Alida Mennen, Elly Pierny, Effie Atherton, Rosi Barsony, Julian Algo and many, many more! Also included is a 5-page index to all the cards. There are glassine sheets inserted between each sheet of cards so that they don't rub against each other (this is how the album was created)

Important Added Info: Note that we are also auctioning a different cigarette card album called "Der Kunstlerische Tanz", which is very similar to this one, but with all different dancers. We imagine one of these is a sequel to the other, but we don't know which came first. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the bottom right of the cover and some surface paper loss at the top of the cover and some wear on the back cover, but otherwise, the album is in really nice condition.
