American Cinematographer ("For Amateur and Professional Photographers"; "International Journal of Film and Video Production Techniques"; "The Motion Picture Camera Magazine"), the monthly professional journal of production techniques. It began in 1920, shortly after the American Society of Cinematographers was founded in 1919, and at first it was a news letter, first biweekly, and then monthly. In 1929, it became a standard magazine. In the 1930s, it was aimed at both amateurs and professionals, but over time, it solely focused on professionals. It continued to be published through the decades, and it now has a digital edition! Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of each magazine, but no other images. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided.
