If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Exactly what is it? We have seen similar posters to this for other movies of the late 1960s and 1970s. It was likely made for the New York showing of this movie, and it is a blow-up of an early review from the New York Post newspaper (and it was created on photo paper) from February 5th, 1972 (it would not premiere until March 14th, so this story was over a month in advance, no doubt to get people excited for the movie). Also note that the reviewer raves about the movie and mentions that they never used the words "Mafia" or "Cosa Nostra" because Joe Columbo of the Italian American Civil Liberties League demanded it (and ironically, Columbo was gunned down and killed prior to this review). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has creases, tears and some faint stains around the edges (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
