He is most famous for his line art caricatures of movie stars and celebrities over many decades. He was also married to Broadway actress and performer Dolly Haas until she passed away in 1994. Hirschfeld passed away in 2003 at the age of 99. Our consignor purchased it many years ago from a reputable dealer, and she does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic.
