An Original 1957 (from the first release of this movie in Russia) Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 25 1/2" x 40 3/4" [65 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Das Doppelte Lottchen (literally translates to "Two Times Lotte"), the 1950 Josef von Baky German twin sisters family relationship divorce comedy (about twin sisters separated as babies, one raised by their mother, and one by their father, and then they meet as teens and switch places and try to reunite their parents; if this sounds incredibly familiar, it is because it was based on the novel by Erich Kastner, which was later adapted into "The Parent Trap" starring Hayley Mills and later remade with Lindsey Lohan, except in this first version, real-life twins played the leads, rather than a single actress, as in the U.S. versions!) starring Antje Weisgerber, Peter Mosbacher, Jutta Gunther (in the title role as Lotte Korner), Isa Gunther (Jutta's real-life twin), and Senta Wengraf. Note that Erich Kastner also wrote Emil and the Detectives, which also was first a German film and later a Disney movie.
