An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Fashions of 1934, the 1934 William Dieterle fashion designer romantic musical comedy ("The screen's first laugh extravaganza - songs & music"; "Warner Bros' fashion extravaganza with music"; about a fashion designer who goes to high class French fashion shows and photographs the latest fashions with a hidden camera so that he can make cheap knock-offs of them, and he ends up putting on his own fashion show) starring William Powell, Bette Davis, Frank McHugh, Hugh Herbert, Verree Teasdale, and Reginald Owen. Note that the musical numbers were created and directed by Busby Berkeley. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. This means the poster was backed onto a board backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: good. card was tattered around the edges; this had only the slightest effect on the image on the left, top, and bottom borders, but the right 1/2" of the image was tattered; the person who paperbacked the lobby card placed new borders over the old ones (except for the area at the bottom left and bottom right of the image where the small writing is), and they did a nice job re-creating the missing right edge of the image; there was a little bit of touch up within the image area but basically very little. Overall, the card looks really nice, and the image area has really had little restoration. But please do not bid on this card unless you can accept the restoration it has had!
