An Original Vintage Theatrical 6 1/2" x 9" Movie Still (Learn More) All That Money Can Buy, the classic 1941 William Dieterle fantasy horror melodrama ("Based on the Story 'The Devil and Daniel Webster' by Stephen Vincent Benet"; "Daniel & the Devil"; about a man in colonial New England who sells his soul to the Devil, and the legendary politician Daniel Webster shows up to win his soul back!) starring Edward Arnold (as Daniel Webster), Walter Huston (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as "Mr. Scratch" the Devil), Jane Darwell, Simone Simon, James Craig (as Jabez Stone), Gene Lockhart, John Qualen (as Miser Stevens), and Anne Shirley (as Mary Stone). James Craig and Anne Shirley have by far the most screen time of any actors in this movie, but because of their relatively far lower prominence at that time, RKO placed them both extremely low in the billing for the movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. Normally, this was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby. However, this snipe was glued on so that the written portion is only readable when the snipe is folded over the bottom of the still, which slightly defeats this purpose (although one can see the top of the still and the snipe at the same time, which could not be done if the snipe was glued on the back). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! Also note that this still measures 6 1/2" x 9", but it does not appear to be trimmed. Note that there is a stamp on the back of the still (from the studio that distributed it). There is a stamp on the back of the still that reads, "PHOTO BY ERNEST A. BACHRACH". Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
