An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked German "A1" Movie Poster (measures 23" x 33" [58 x 84 cm]) (Learn More) Cul-de-sac (released in the U.S. in 1967 as "Roman Polanski's Cul-de-sac [Blind Alley]"), the 1966 Roman Polanski English crime comedy thriller ("Sometimes there's nothing left to do but laugh!"; about a married couple on an isolated island, and a vicious gangster barges in on them and greatly disrupts their lives) starring Donald Pleasence, Francoise Dorleac (Catherine Deneuve's sister!), Lionel Stander, Jack MacGowran, and Iain Quarrier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jan Lenica Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds, with some creases, scuffs, and tiny paper loss between the middle and bottom crossfolds, and a 10" vertical tear in the right of the bottom fold, starting in the hand and running down to the shoulder. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
