An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 14" x 21 1/2") (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (released in other English-speaking countries as "Abbott and Costello Meet the Ghosts"), the 1948 Charles T. Barton monster horror spoof comedy ("It's a grand New idea for Fun!"; the eighth Universal Frankenstein movie, and this time they added their #1 comedy team to both liven up the series, and to inject comedy; many people fondly remember this as their favorite of the 1940s Frankenstein movies!; "Jeepers! The Creepers are after Bud and Lou!"; "The laughs are MONSTERous! Bud and Lou are in a stew when they tangle with the Titans of Terror!"; "The monsters of menace vs the masters of Mirth!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Lon Chaney Jr. ("The Wolf Man played by Lon Chaney"), Bela Lugosi (returning as Dracula after being long absent from the role; "Dracula played by Bela Lugosi"), Glenn Strange (in the title role, playing the Frankenstein monster; "The Monster played by Glenn Strange"), Lenore Aubert, Jane Randolph, Frank Ferguson, Charles Bradstreet, and Vincent Price (in a cute cameo, as the voice of The Invisible Man at the end of the movie!) Important Added Info: Note that this Belgian poster measures 14" x 21 1/2" and that it is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good to fine. The poster had some tiny tears, smudges, and tiny paper loss around the edges of the poster and some creases and minute areas of surface paper loss across the foldline. The person who mounted the poster simply backed it without restoration, but fortunately it was in quite nice condition and its minor defects are not distracting. Learn More about condition grades
