An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Alice White was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. She had reddish brown hair and Warner Bros. promoted her as another "Clara Bow". She didn't like the comparison and she dyed her hair blonde! She had a very messy private life including multiple abusive boyfriends and husbands, and she had a nervous breakdown in 1936. She attempted a comeback, but only had minor roles and other than a part in 1949's "Flamingo Road", she last acted on screen in 1942. Some of her movies include: The Show of Shows, Employees' Entrance, Show Girl in Hollywood, Jimmy the Gent, and Picture Snatcher. She passed away in 1983 at the age of 79. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has "TRR" running down the center. One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us!
