The poster was tri-folded only. It had fine surface paper loss on the foldlines and a few tiny scuffs in the image. It had a thin strip of paper loss in the middle of the right blank border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and any restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
