Convicted Woman, the 1940 Mick Grinde crime prison melodrama ("Caged Women!"; "What would they do if they were turned loose for a day?"; "Would they use their fleeting freedom for home and dear ones... for love... for crime?"; while this movie was similar to the other movies about women's prisons, this one made an extra effort to expose the terrible conditions in such prisons, hoping to cause some reforms, but sadly, that did not occur) starring Rochelle Hudson, Frieda Inescort, June Lang, Lola Lane, Glenn Ford, Iris Meredith, and William Farnum
