What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some creases, scuffs, and tiny areas of paper loss or surface paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone had it backed onto thin linen with no excess. At some point after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and it acquired a diagonal crease in the bottom right corner, both in the poster and the thin linen. The poster is also lightly rippled in the top, more so in the top left, which may have occurred before or after backing.
