An Original Vintage Linenbacked French Special Movie Poster (measures 15 3/4" x 22 3/4" [40 x 58 cm]) (Learn More)

Vemes Floralies Valenciennoises (literally translates to "5th Valenciennes Flower Show"), the 1954 French poster advertising a horticultural show to be held from April 23rd to May 2nd at Valenciennes, France and featuring art of a woman in an elegant dress attending to many flowers (reused from a 1934 poster). Note that the poster promised that the show would have "millions of plants and flowers", and then they give specific numbers of some flowers. Apparently they over-estimated one of the numbers, because there is a corrective credits snipe glued over the number before the word "TULIPES"! If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was folded across the middle and had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
