An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German "A1" Movie Poster (measures 23" x 33") (Learn More)

The Party (released in Italy as "Hollywood Party"), the 1968 Blake Edwards Hollywood movie making acting mistaken identity screwball comedy ("If you've ever been to a wilder party - You're Under Arrest!"; about a major Hollywood production that includes an Indian actor, and the producers hire a real film star from India to play the part, but he is terrible, and he is intended to be fired, but he is accidentally invited to a party instead, with very comic results) starring Peter Sellers, Claudine Longet, Jean Carson, Gavin MacLeod, and James Lanphier. Note that it is said that Peter Sellers did not have a script, and that he improvised all of his dialog, and that the other actors had to "follow his lead", which would, of course, be incredibly difficult. The movie has gained a significant cult following over the years since its release!

Important Added Info: Note that the artwork on this poster is unsigned, but it seems unmistakably the artwork of Jack Davis (famous E.C. Comics, Mad Magazine, and TV Guide illustrator), who did the posters for the U.S. campaign.Yet this artwork is not one that appears on any of the U.S. posters! If anyone knows more about the artwork on this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. There is a 1" tear in the upper right edge of the poster. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well.
