Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 6 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Good As Gold, the 1927 Scott R. Dunlap silent cowboy western ("A Stirring Story of a White Horseman of the Plains") starring Buck Jones, Frances Lee, Carl Miller, Charles K. French, and Adele Watson. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Also note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good to fine. the poster was linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had some paper loss and tears in the blank borders; the image area had only tiny holes at the crossfolds and was in excellent condition; the person who restored the poster put new paper over much of the blank borders (it was very expertly done and most people would not realize it unless it was specifically shown to them); the minor defects in the image area were well restored, and the poster looks wonderful!
