Gott Mit Uns [Dio e Con Noi] (literally translates to "God With Us"), the 1964 Lucio Manlio Battistrada & Fernaldo di Giammatteo Italian World War I (WWI) World War II (WWII) German historical documentary. We can't find much information about this documentary, but according to a translated Italian site, it explores the last century of German history and warns that "the strength of Germany is a constant danger to everyone because it is destined to upset European and world peace". Note that Gott Mit Uns is a phrase commonly used in heraldry in Prussia (from 1701) and later by the German military from the period spanning the German Empire (1871 to 1918) to the end of the Third Reich in 1945. For instance, German soldiers had the phrase inscribed on their helmets in the First World War, and Wehrmacht soldiers had it on their belt buckles in the Second World War. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Angelo Cesselon
