Nana, the 1955 (released in the U.S. in 1957) Christian-Jaque French romantic prostitution melodrama ("Emile Zola's Immortally Immoral Classic of the Most Famous of all French Courtesans... Nana") starring Charles Boyer, Martine Carol, Jacques Castelot, Walter Chiari, and Paul Frankeur. Note that the U.S. releasing company did their very best to portray this movie as a low budget sex film! Also note that Charles Boyer started as an actor in French movies in 1921 at the age of 22. He made his first American movie, The Magnificent Lie, in 1931, but his greatest success came in the 1940s!
