From their inception, Vespa scooters have been known for their painted, pressed steel unibody which combines a complete cowling for the engine, a flat floorboard and a prominent front fairing into a structural unit. The Vespa has evolved from a single model motor scooter to a full line of scooters today. In 1953, the movie "Roman Holiday" featured scenes of Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn riding on a Vespa, which gave the company worldwide exposure! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and had the most minor of border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Note that at some point after linenbacking, the poster was roughly handled and there are now minor creases in the left and right borders (solely in the excess linen, and not in the poster itself).
