What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss in the top and bottom quarters of the vertical fold and in the right half of the top and bottom horizontal folds, with a lesser amount of wear on the rest of the folds. It had some tiny areas of paper loss scattered across the bottom of the image and in parts of the credits. It had paper loss in the top corners. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. A talented restorer performed nice restoration to the poster and it displays pretty well, but there are some tiny areas in the credits and in the bottom of the image where there is surface paper loss (this might have occurred after the poster was backed). Any talented restorer could perform the slight additional restoration required without re-backing the poster, and afterwards, this rare and wonderful poster will displays great on the new owner's wall!
