An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14 1/4" x 19" [36 x 48 cm]) (Learn More) The Forbidden Woman, the 1927 Paul L. Stein silent Morocco France spy espionage romantic love triangle melodrama ("From an original story by Elmer Harris"; a really great wild story of a beautiful Moroccan spy who is assigned to get secrets from the French, and she does so by marrying a high ranking officer; she returns with him to France, and meets a world famous violinist, and falls in love with him, but she is shocked to discover that he is the brother of her husband!; because she can't leave her husband for his brother, she frames the brother as a spy, but when he is about to be executed, he declares his love for her, and she is so overwhelmed that she confesses everything, and the reunited brothers get to witness her execution!) starring Jetta Goudal, Victor Varconi, Joseph Schildkraut, Ivan Lbedeff, and Leonid Snegoff NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 19" [36 x 48 cm]. Condition: good. The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. The entire card has darkened unevenly and there are some faint stains scattered throughout. There is a 5" uneven tear in the middle of the right border and some smaller border tears that were repaired with clear tape from the back. There is paper loss in the bottom right corner. The card clearly has very real defects, but it is likely that some or all of the darkening and staining could be removed through chemical means, and after proper restoration, the card will look great!
