Set of 9 Original Vintage Theatrical Advertising Glass Slides (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More)

a set of 9 Sinclair Oil glass slides, the 1920s glass slide advertisements promoting Sinclair Oil products (such as kerosene, oil, and bug spray). Three of the slides have the classic Sinclair dinosaur image, and one states that one gallon of their gasoline "could hoist the Empire State Building 1 1/4 inches"! These were a series of ads that were shown along with coming attraction glass slides between movies at a 1920s movie theater. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: These slides are the kind that have two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of each image, but we have not taken photos of the slides, because there would really be very little to see!

Condition: very good to fine.
