An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Danish Movie Poster (measures 24 3/4" x 33") (Learn More) Harold and Maude, the classic 1971 Hal Ashby romantic May-December black comedy (about a depressed, death-obsessed 20-year-old man-child who spends his free time attending funerals and staging fake suicides in front of his mother, and meets a joyous 79 year old woman who helps him learn to enjoy life) starring Ruth Gordon (in the title role as Maude), Bud Cort (in the title role as Harold), Vivian Pickles, Cyril Cusack, Charles Tyner, Ellen Geer, and Eric Christmas. Important Added Info: This Danish poster measures 24 3/4" x 33" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had minor creases along the foldlines and a few faint scuffs in the top right corner (mostly in the background, but some in Cort's scarf). There was a crease in the background area above the "H" of "HAROLD" in the title. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
