Hardboiled Rose, the 1929 F. Harmon Weight romantic gambling melodrama ("Based on the story by Melville Crosman", which was a pseudonym for Darryl F. Zanuck; about a high class southern girl whose father kills himself because of his debts, and she goes to work in a gambling casino until she is rescued by a handsome young man) starring Myrna Loy (in the title role as Rose Duhamel), William Collier Jr., John Miljan, Gladys Brockwell, and Lucy Beaumont. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
