Note that Alfred Hitchcock used the two taglines "The birds is coming!" and "The birds is here!" on several different types of advertising for this movie, no doubt because he thought it was funny that while it is technically grammatically correct when referring to the movie, they "sound wrong"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Tippi Hedren! This card (and 33 others, which we are auctioning in 33 separate auctions) was consigned to us from the estate of a very longtime lobby card collector, who, for many years, sought out stars at shows and conventions, and he would bring cards from his collection to have them sign. Because they were obtained in person, he does not have any "certificates of authenticity", but we think it is certain that all of the autographs on these cards are authentic, but bear in mind that it does not come with a certificate. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good. There is an incredibly faint partial crease down the left 2" of the card at a slight diagonal (you really can't see it from the front, only from the back). Note that there are faint scuff marks scattered in the image. Those are within the printing and are NOT defects, and they likely appear on every example of this card! Note that the card has a very minor printing defect, which is a series of faint grey lines down the left edge of the left blank border. This was a very minor printing defect that occurred during the printing of these cards, and it is found on many 1950s and early 1960s lobby cards, and few collectors consider it much of a defect at all, because it is in the left edge of the blank border, has no effect on the image, and would likely be on all examples of this lobby card. None of the above is very noticeable or distracting, and the card displays well (see our image).
