An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) I Live for Love, the 1935 Busby Berkeley romantic musical comedy (about a temperamental theater actress who wants her lover to be her co-star in place of the talented actor who was hired to play opposite her) starring Dolores Del Rio, Everett Marshall, Guy Kibbee, Allen Jenkins, Berton Churchill, and Hobart Cavanaugh. Note that this was an unusual movie for Busby Berkeley, because it was a "regular" musical, without the elaborate choreographed dance numbers he was so well known for. Also note that Everett Marshall was a singer at the Metropolitan opera from 1927 to 1931, who appeared in "Dixiana" in 1930, and also appeared in this movie five years later, but his heart was in singing and not in acting, and those were his only two film appearances, and he continued touring in musicals the rest of his career. We have only previously auctioned a different example of this title card and a herald, and NO other movie paper from this movie, until we received this second title card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There is a 3" tear at top center and a semi-circular scuff mark to the right of Del Rio's eye. There is a 1 1/2" tear in the middle right, and there are some faint smudges and creases scattered around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
