An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Man Who Laughed Last, the 1929 Warner Bros. short starring Sessue Hayakawa and Lucille Lortel. This is a fascinating movie that is difficult to research, and there is some conflicting information out there! Conrad Veidt starred in "The Man Who Laughs" in 1928, and the following year, Warner Bros. made this Vitaphone parody short (either 15 minutes long or 20 minutes long, depending on where you look). It apparently had full sound, one of the first such films. We don't know anymore about it after some brief research, but we very much hope that someone will tell us lots more about it! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we can't say for certain that this still is from this movie, but it seems extremely likely. It is called "The Man Who Laughed" on the back, but certainly, it makes sense that that would have been a working title, and that they would have had to change it because it was too close to the original title. It also says "appearing in person", but we are not sure what that would mean. If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
