An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Sundown Rider, the 1932 Lambert Hillyer cowboy western ("Daring all for honor and for love!"; "Risking his life to prove his loyalty!") starring Buck Jones, Barbara Weeks, Pat O'Malley, Ward Bond, and Wheeler Oakman. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and some creases, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was expertly backed by a really talented restorer, and it is very difficult to see what restoration the poster has had, and it displays fantastically, and yet does not have a "restored" look to it!
