Frankenstein, the classic 1931 James Whale Universal monster horror thriller ("The monster that terrorized the world!"; "The Man Who Made a Monster"; "Warning! The monster is loose!"; "Based upon the Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley Story"; "Adapted by John L. Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles

Important Added Info: Note that we have only once before auctioned an example of this card, and that was 30 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. The card had a tack hole in each corner and two tack holes in the center of the top blank border. It had a tack hole in the center of the bottom of the card, between the "E" and "N", and it had a 2" tear in the bottom border that went to the left of the second "E". There were some creases and smudges in the borders, and a few scattered in the image. Someone performed restoration to the card without backing it. You can see slight signs of the defects and the restoration of those defects, but the card displays well (see our image).
