An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Jessie Matthews was an English musical actress from the 1920s to the 1980s. Some of her movies include: The Hound of the Baskervilles, Forever and a Day, Waltzes from Vienna, and Evergreen. She was awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 1970s, so she could have afterwards referred to herself as "Dame Jessie Matthews", but apparently she didn't do that. She passed away in 1981 at the age of 74. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Jessie Matthews in 1979! Our consignor is a longtime collector of movie posters who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. Condition: good to very good. There is a small circular stain in the top border and surface paper loss on the back of each corner where tape was roughly removed. Learn More about condition grades
