A 1980 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"), the classic 1966 Sergio Leone German/Italian/Spanish Civil War cowboy spaghetti western ("For Three Men The Civil War Wasn't Hell. It Was Practice!"; "Screenplay by Age-Scarpelli, Luciano Vincenzoni and Sergio Leone") starring Clint Eastwood (in the title role as The Good), Lee Van Cleef (in the title role as The Bad), Eli Wallach (in the title role as The Ugly; billed as "also starring Eli Wallach in the role of Tuco"), Aldo Giuffre, Mario Brega, Antonio Casas, Rada Rassimov, Aldo Sambrel, Enzo Petito, Luigi Pistilli, Livio Lorenzon, Al Mulloch, Sergio Mendizabal, Molino Rojo, and Lorenzo Robledo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster looks extremely similar to the first release poster from 1968. In 1980, United Artists re-released the early Clint Eastwood movies, and printed them from the same printing plates as the originals, but they can be easily distinguished from the originals because they are on a glossier paper stock, and also because they do not have the NSS information at the bottom right, but instead the title in all capitals. Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. Note that the restorer left a very wide amount of excess linen on all four sides, and there are some creases scattered in the edges of the excess linen (but it has no effect on the poster).
