An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Double-Sided One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 40") (Learn More) Hard Eight, the 1996 Paul Thomas Anderson gambling casino cheating con hustling crime action family relationship romantic melodrama ("If you stay in the game long enough, you'll see everything, win everything, and lose everything."; "When good luck is a long shot, you have to hedge your bets.") starring Philip Baker Hall, John C. Reilly, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson ("as Jimmy"), and F. William Parker. Note that this was Paul Thomas Anderson's first movie, and he originally called it "Sydney" after the lead character. He delivered it to the studio, and they substantially re-cut it and re-titled it "Hard Eight". He was able to get them to reinstate his original version before releasing it, but they insisted on keeping the new, more commercial title. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
