Leonard romantic cowboy western musical (about a beautiful saloon singer who is romanced by a bandit who pretends to be a soldier in order to be acceptable to her, but what will happen when she finds out the truth?) starring Jeanette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, Walter Pidgeon, Leo Carrillo, Buddy Ebsen, Ray Bolger, and Leonard Penn. Note that there were two silent movies based on this same play by David Belasco, and an earlier sound version in 1930 with Ann Harding. There was also a opera version by Puccini based on this play. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images).
