An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (40x60; measures 40" x 60" [102 x 152 cm]) (Learn More) Enlighten Thy Daughter, the 1934 John Varley bad girl romantic love triangle unwed mother family relationship melodrama ("A smashing indictment of parental prudery!"; "There is only one thing you can do now. There is no other way."; "A cast of Broadway stars"; "Sex-crazed youth blazing a reckless path to hell!"; "Save her from a life of sin"; "The facts about the facts of life"; "The picture that calls a spade a spade"; about a girl who comes home from college and meets a guy who takes her on a date, and smashes the car, and they spend the night in a motel, and she ends up sleeping with him, but after they get back home, he dumps her and takes up with her best friend, but then she learns she is pregnant, and has nowhere to turn) starring Herbert Rawlinson, Miriam Battista, Beth Barton, Charles Eaton, and Claire Whitney. Note that this movie was made by the Weiss Brothers in 1934 and was then shown throughout the country under the states rights system. Apparently, they wanted to give the movie a pretense of being a major production, and so they hired silent actor Herbert Rawlinson to appear in it, and he was given top billing, and they noted that the movie had "a cast of Broadway stars". The only poster we have ever seen from it is a 40x60, which does not have Weiss Brothers on it, so it may not date from 1934, but it surely dates from the 1930s.
