An Original Vintage Autographed First Day Cover Envelope (measures 3 1/2" x 6 1/2") (Learn More) Hank Ketcham (born "Henry King Ketcham") was cartoonist from the 1930s to the 1990s. He is best known for creating the Dennis the Menace comic strip, and he has also done work on Walt Disney cartoons including Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Bambi. The National Cartoonists Society awarded him with the "Reuben Award" in 1953. He passed away in 2001 at the age of 81. Note that this item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from The Historical Document Society. Also note that a "first day cover", also called "FDC", is an envelope or card bearing a stamp which is cancelled on the day the stamp is initially placed on sale by the Postal Service.
