An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Movie Poster (measures approximately 15" x 20"; known as an 'affiche' poster in France) (Learn More) Roma (released in the U.S. as "Fellini's Roma"), the 1972 Federico Fellini Italian/French bizarre comedy melodrama ("The Fall of the Roman Empire 1931 - 1972"; with story and screenplay by Federico Fellini and Bernardino Zapponi) starring Peter Gonzales, Fiona Florence, Britta Barnes, Pia De Doses, Marne Maitland, Renato Giovannoli, and Elisa Mainardi NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: J.L. Castelli Important Added Info: Note that this poster contains a photo of an unclothed woman, so we have placed a white bar over that area, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual poster does not have that white bar! Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are slightly noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "Pre-Restoration Defects & Quality of Restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had light wear on the foldlines and pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
