An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Lumber Jack-Rabbit, the 1953 Chuck Jones Looney Tunes 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) animated cartoon family comedy short ("Bug Bunny in his first laugh riot in 3 Dimension"; the only cartoon that Warner Bros. ever made in 3-D, this concerns Bugs Bunny finding an incredible carrot patch, but it belongs to Paul Bunyan, and it is guarded by his immense dog) featuring the voices of Mel Blanc (in the title role as Bugs Bunny), and Norman Nesbitt (as Paul Bunyan). Note that Chuck Jones was dissatisfied with the quality of this cartoon, and he quit Warner Bros. after a long distinguished career there, and signed with Walt Disney, where he was assigned to work on "Sleeping Beauty". However, after four months, he realized that he was not happy there, and told Disney that he was leaving. Disney told him "surely we can work something out for you", and Jones said, "The only job you have here I would take is yours", and Disney replied, "I'm sorry, but it's filled!" He returned to Warner Bros. and stayed there until they shut down their entire animation department in 1962. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was originally in 3-D. The studios created both 3D and 2D posters and lobby cards (the 2-D posters and lobby cards were for theaters that lacked the 3-D equipment). This poster is from the "3-D" release. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and very minor wear on the folds. It had pinholes in the corners. It had some very faint water staining scattered in the top and bottom of the poster (in the text areas). It had two tiny stains in the "K" of "JACK" in the title that look to be faint ink transfer from when the poster was folded. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
