What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss in the upper left blank border, and small paper loss in the bottom blank corners. It had a few tiny holes and scuffs scattered in the solid brown areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the poster was roughly handled and it acquired creases in the upper left of the excess linen (but it does not affect the poster at all, and it would greatly diminish when flattened out, and of course, it will not show if the poster is framed, and there is a lot of excess linen anyway; see our image).
