An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

City That Never Sleeps, the 1953 John H. Auer Chicago Illinois crime film noir ("...from the Honky Tonks to the penthouses ...the creeps, the hoods, come out to war with the city!"; "Written by Steve Fisher") starring Gig Young, Mala Powers, William Talman, Edward Arnold, Chill Wills, Marie Windsor, and Paula Raymond. Note that, although the phrase "City that Never Sleeps" became popularized in a song about New York, the phrase was earlier used to refer to the city of Chicago, which is how this movie got its name!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: fair. There are smudges and stains in the lower left of the image, including noticeable stains in the arm and face of the girl and the face of the man (unfortunately, someone laid a film reel on the back of the poster when it was fully folded, and it was the above area of the poster that was most affected; you can see the clear outline of the film reel on the back of that part of the poster). There are some small tape repairs on the back of the poster. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration! Please do not bid on this poster unless you have carefully read the above and carefully studied our super-sized image (I have no idea how difficult it would be to restore this, and whether or not the stains could be removed chemically, or if they would need to be painted over).
