'Francis' as long as you can LAUGH!"; "Adapted from the novel by David Stern"; "From the riotous book the G.I.'s loved 'Francis' by David Stern"; the first in this extremely popular series of silly comedies) starring Donald O'Connor, Patricia Medina, Zasu Pitts, Ray Collins, John McIntire, Tony Curtis, and Chill Wills (as the voice of Francis the Talking Mule), and Francis ("the TALKING Army MULE!"; "The old Army Mule who Talks!") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few creases, scuffs, and smudges in the image area and many creases, smudges, pinholes, and tears around the edges of the poster, some extending into the edges of the image. There were smudges in the top of the "Fr" of "Francis" in the title. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but the paperbacker did not do any restoration to the defects in the blank borders, likely rightfully assuming they will not show when the poster is framed.
