Virginia Bruce was an English aviatrix of the 1930s, who apparently flew a plane around the world unaided, and yet we can find no evidence of this anywhere! We wonder if it wasn't some publicity hoax that was later exposed, because we can also find no record of THIS Virginia Bruce, NOT the famous actress! If anyone knows more about this woman, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this news photo is really cool, not just for the mystery about this other "Virginia Bruce", but also because it shows Los Angeles Police Chief James Davis shooting a cigarette out of her mouth (six times!). James Davis was a very controversial police chief, and it is well worth looking up his biography!
