An Original 1976 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) THX 1138, the 1971 George Lucas science fiction (sci-fi) dystopian future melodrama ("The future is here."; "Visit the future where love is the ultimate crime."; "Story by George Lucas"; "Executive Producer, Francis Ford Coppola") starring Robert Duvall (in the title role as THX 1138), Donald Pleasence, Don Pedro Colley, John Seaton, Johnny Weissmuller Jr., Susan Baldwin, Ian Wolfe, and Maggie McOmie. Note that this was George Lucas' first movie. Some people (including myself) liked it quite a bit, but generally its dark and ultra-depressing theme turned off audiences, and it was not very successful on first release. Of course, the actual poster does not have that white bar! Also note that this Italian two-panel poster was printed in 2 sections (designed to overlap) and when combined, the poster measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]. Note that this poster was folded in half an extra time. If it is purchased by itself (or solely with other posters that were folded an extra time), then it can be sent in one of our standard size mailers. But if it is purchased with posters that were NOT folded an extra time, then it will need to be sent in one of our oversized flat packages. If you solely purchase this poster, we will re-fold it an extra time. The theater that used this poster taped the two pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used two-panels). Condition: good.
