Bathing Beauty, the 1944 George Sidney romantic aquatic swimming musical comedy ("M-G-M's mammoth Technicolor musical spectacle!") starring Red Skelton, Esther Williams, Basil Rathbone, Bill Goodwin, Ethel Smith, Jean Porter, Carlos Ramirez, Harry James & His Music Makers, Helen Forrest, Xavier Cugat & His Orchestra, and Lina Romay. Note that this was Esther Williams' first movie that focused on her great athletic swimming ability, and she was basically the star of the movie, even though she was second billed to much bigger star Red Skelton (and she was primarily the focus of all the movie advertising).
