An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Florenz Ziegfeld's Kid Boots, the 1926 Frank Tuttle silent romantic love triangle golfing sports comedy (Cantor's best friend is a golf pro who is mixed up with a gold digger, and he becomes a caddy so that he can break them up, with the help of his friend's real girlfriend, played by Clara Bow) starring Eddie Cantor, Clara Bow, Billie Dove, Lawrence Gray, and Natalie Kingston. Note that Eddie Cantor had been a major Broadway star prior to this movie, but this was his first movie appearance! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Condition: fair. Prior to paperbacking, the poster was never folded, but there was major staining scattered throughout the top three-quarters of the poster, with some lesser amount scattered in the bottom quarter. There were tiny areas of paper loss in the left and right borders, with some surface paper loss in the blue background at the far right middle of the poster. A talented restorer cleaned the poster thoroughly, removing as much of the staining as possible through chemical means, but enough of the staining still remained that a lot of the blue background needed to be re-painted. The other areas of the poster were left with the faint staining, and you can clearly see that when you look at the poster, even from a distance. But I think that many collectors would still be happy to display this cool poster on their wall, even though it shows many signs of its defects and of the restoration of its defects.
